Vera Pauw, the Irish women’s football manager hasn’t yet selected her squad for the World Cup in Australia later this summer but if she had been at the FAI 5’s competition in Carrigaline this morning she almost certainly would now be considering adding some wildcards from the St. Mary’s Central School teams, such were the performances of our players! In a tournament of 16 teams in total, our squad of two teams performed brilliantly throughout the day! Goals were scored, shots were saved, tackles were made and in the end one of our teams reached the semi-final and the other team won several of its group games! Well done to everyone involved!
