Our 5th and 6th Class pupils are hosting a fundraising BAZAAR on Friday June 9th in aid of the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust. Tom Shortall was a local young man and past pupil of St. Mary’s Central School who died tragically in Berlin last September. The Kevin Bell Repatriation Society was a fantastic support to Tom’s family which helped bring his body back home to Ireland. By hosting this Bazaar, we hope that in a small way we will be able to support this wonderful charity.
There will be stalls of bric ‘n brac, books, toys, a cake sale, fun games, a raffle and many other items. Each child attending will be able to spend some money in whichever they way they decide, eg playing games, buying raffle tickets, buying items etc. For those of you wondering how much spending money your child would need, 2 or three euro would be a sufficient amount for them to be able to take part in games and buy some items. The event will take place in our school hall and classes will attend at the following allocated times.
- 10am – 10:30am – Junior Infants
- 10:30am – 11am – Senior Infants
- 11:15am – 11:45am – 1st Class
- 11:45am – 12:15am – 2nd Class
- 12:15pm – 12:50pm – 3rd Class
- 1.20pm – 2pm – 4th Class
We would be thrilled if parents were able to attend during the school day anytime from 10am to 2pm. We won’t be able to facilitate children being withdrawn from classrooms throughout the school day but if you would like attend the Bazaar at the same time as your (child)ren’s allocated time slot above, please do!
Also if anyone has any items at home which they would like to donate eg bottles of wines, chocolates or any other items we could use for our raffle, they would be much appreciated. They can be dropped to the school by Wednesday at the latest.
