6th class finished planting up the purple raised bed in our garden today! Beans and peas were planted along the base of the bamboo support structure to allow them to grow vertically all the way to the top and we also added companion plants kale and calendula to the remainder of the bed! Many thanks to the fabulous Orla Twomey, resident horticulturist with Bandon Co-op who helped create a planting plan for us and also gave us plenty of advice and guidance along the way!
